Episode 503

Patpong Makeup Artist flanked by her trusty assistants from La La Land.
We accidentally discovered 'Deathmake' while channel-surfing in our hotel room one evening. There were a dozen of high-definition Japanese channels on TV but we wouldn't understand any of them. But for Deathmake, there wasn't a need to because it's a program that's simply out of this milky way.

The concept for this reality show is simple - there's a theme for every episode, and all the girls invited to the show were supposed to vote for one person who they thought needed a makeover - done a la Survivor-style.

Subsequently two women, one black and another blonde, walk into the room. They scan the girls and utter in unison "YOU!!" and drag the hapless damsel who was voted as The Chosen One onto a stretcher and wheels the screaming and kicking girl to an ambulance.

The door swings open and out comes another woman with very severe makeup and hair all tied back - which reminded us of a Patpong transvestite. She proceeds to use a black marker to highlight the flaws of the victim:

'Yes... this may make you look like a twit but trust me... it's all worth it'

The victim then gets a real makeover and goes back into the room with her face covered while the rest of the girls hold their breath in anticipation. She reveals the end result and everyone squeals in excitement! It's amazing! I can't believe it! You're so PRETTY! Oh My God I just peed in my panties!

Not that there's a huge difference, seriously.

At the end of the makeover session, Patpong Makeup Artist holds up the original picture of the victim and feeds it into the shredder. She looks smugly at the camera and proudly declares, "Death is in the Make!!"

Don't ask me what it means.
